Synopsis
Out-Of-Place Artifacts (OOPArt) that predate mankind have eventually been uncovered all around Earth. These artifacts were made out of an unknown material that even modern science have yet to identify. It was eventually discovered that there was an ancient civilization that are responsible for the creation of these artifacts. They once ruled Earth with their highly advanced-technological artifacts, but the rapid progression of their technology has caused them to meet their demise from their own creations. Before being completely decimated, they left behind plates that are inscribed with a warning message for future generations about their request in protecting their legacy from evil. If their creations were unable to be protected, they must be destroyed without hesitation.
Inspired by this message, an organization, namely the ARCAM Corporation, is founded for the purpose of carrying out the ancient civilization's request. ARCAM managed to established its own military arm that is referred to as the "ARCAM Private Army". They are well-known for containing elite S-Class agents that are called the Spriggans. Their role for ARCAM involves seeking for the ancient artifacts, and attempting to secure them from various armies who also search for them to expand upon their power against their adversaries.
Fast forward to the time period where the Cold War has just ended, ARCAM continues to strive in protecting the ancient's legacy from falling into the wrong hands. Enter Yu Ominae, a Japanese high school student who is also a Spriggan would see himself involve in a constant war against hostile forces that yearn for global supremacy, in which the artifacts act as a key of achieving that desire. Yu, along with his fellow Spriggans and allies, are destined to maintain ARCAM's integrity and ensure that the future of humanity is secured.....

| Shogakukan announced The third BOX reprint of the Spriggan manga that will be released in Japan on June 17th, 2022. It will contain story segments from Volume 9-11, in addition to volume 12 that contains side stories of "GOLD RUSH" and "FIRST MISSION". |
